Privacy Policy
OASIS Recovery Homes (“OASIS,” “we,” “us”) runs this website to tell people about our sober living home in California and to let them get in touch. We know that reaching out about recovery is personal. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, what we do with it, and the choices you have.
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to send us, plus the basic technical data every website receives.
- We use it to reply to you. We don't sell it, rent it, or use it for advertising.
- This website uses no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking pixels.
- We won't tell anyone whether you contacted us unless you ask us to, or the law requires it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number (optional), the option you pick under “I am” (for example, a family member or a referral partner), and anything you write in the message. If you call or email us, we receive whatever you share in that conversation.
Please don't send health information through the website. We don't need medical or treatment details to answer a first inquiry, and the form isn't designed to hold them. We're happy to talk through your situation by phone.
Information collected automatically. Like any website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when pages load: your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested, and the date and time. We use this only to keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse. We don't use it to identify you or to build a profile of you.
Cookies. This website doesn't set advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't let other companies track your activity on it. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy first.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and follow up about availability, fit, or a referral.
- To run, secure, and fix the website and to block spam.
- To meet legal obligations, and to protect the safety of our residents, staff, and visitors.
We don't send marketing emails or texts. If you give us your phone number, we'll use it only to return your call or answer your message.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for anyone's marketing. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the website and receive your messages: our website host (Vercel), our form-delivery service (Web3Forms), and our email provider. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- With your permission. For example, if you ask us to speak with a family member, case manager, or treatment provider on your behalf.
- When the law requires it, such as a valid court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to prevent serious harm to someone.
Confidentiality. We treat the fact that someone contacted us, or lives at OASIS, as confidential. We won't confirm it to anyone, including family members or referral partners, without that person's permission, except where the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries only as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and then delete them. Inquiries that don't lead to a stay are generally deleted within two years. Our host keeps technical logs for a short period under its own retention settings.
How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, form messages are delivered straight to our inbox, and access to that inbox is limited to the people who answer inquiries. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't send anything through the website that you wouldn't want in an email.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email Info@oasisrecoveryhomes.org or call (408) 502-6831. We may need to confirm who you are before we act. We'll respond within 45 days, and we won't treat you differently for asking.
California residents. We don't sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms, and we don't disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing. You can still ask us about the information we hold or ask us to delete it, as described above.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We don't track visitors across other websites and we don't sell or share personal information, so the site works the same whatever signal your browser sends.
Children
OASIS is a home for adults, and this website isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Links to other websites
If we link to another website, that site's own privacy policy applies to anything you share with it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll also try to let you know directly.
